LG Electronics has announced the launch of the largest commercial OLED television in November 2009, according to a Reuters report.
The South Korean company will release its 15-inch active-matrix OLED display later this year, with overseas releases to follow in 2010. The company is also planning a 40-inch OLED display in the near future.
LG's OLED television follows on from Sony's XEL-1 television, an 11-inch OLED released in 2007. Tetsuo Urabe of Sony's display device development group discussed the commercialisation of the XEL-1 earlier this month.
