German LED lighting firm Zumtobel and leading R&D centre Fraunhofer Gesellschaft are forming a JV company, called Ledon OLED Lighting Gmbh, to focus specifically on OLED development.
Ledon will be based in Dresden, a key location for OLED technology in Europe. It will contain a team of qualified specialists that will aim to commercialise a range of OLED lighting panels
Ledon OLED will address concepts for large-scale OLED systems and is now drawing up a strategic agreement with Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, which will result in making short runs on the OLED pilot line owned by Fraunhofer IPMS, also in Dresden.
