Japanese imaging technology producer Konica Minolta is focusing on OLED lighting sales in its future business strategy, according to reports.
News agency Reuters reveals that Konica will launch OLED-based lighting equipment in March 2011 as part of its plans to achieve sales of more than ¥100 billion (€753 million) by 2017.
The report follows Konica's recent announcement of plans to set up pilot line production in Tokyo by Q3 2010. The ¥3.5 billion facility will be used to initially produce OLED lighting products, sold on a limited basis.
