OLED lighting manufacturing in South Korea will be enhanced with a KRW30 billion (€20.5 million) investment from the Ministry of Knowledge Economy.
The investment will deliver fourth-generation processes, which produce OLED panels almost twice the size of products coming off current pilot lines worldwide, according to the JoongAng Daily report.
Technology produced will enter the market in 2015 for direct lighting, and could challenge incandescent and fluorescent lighting.
