Novaled has produced OLEDs on metal substrates, according to a company statement.
The German firm presented its metal-based OLEDs at the Light + Building event in Frankfurt. The company believes that metal could be the basis for roll-to-roll production of OLEDs.
Novaled is working with companies such as Philips and Osram on OLED for lighting applications for buildings. In March, +Plastic Electronics also exclusively reported on Novaled's collaboration with a car manufacturer in Europe to install OLED lighting in car interiors.
