Osram Opto Semiconductors has unveiled its first commercial product, the Orbeos OLED light panel.
The OLED panel has an efficiency of 25lm/W and measures 80mm diameter, is 2.1mm thick and weighs 24g. It is available for around €240 via the Osram website.
OLED news website OLED-Info links the development to Osram's involvement in the OPAL, or Organic Phosphorescent lamps for Applications in the Lighting market, project, as well as comparing the Orbeos to Philips's Lumiblade panels.
