Germany-based printed RFID company PolyIC and its partner Thin Film Electronics have announced plans to pilot print rewritable memories.
The memories will be produced by PolyIC, a Siemens and Leonhard Kurz joint venture, on roll-to-roll equipment.Near-term applications for the printed memories include interactive toys, board games and trading cards.
Printed RFID is a future target market for the memories which could be integrated with PolyIC's printable transistors.
