iRex Technologies, the Netherlands-based e-reader technology house, has signed deals with two e-content distributors for its 8.1-inch screen e-reader, the DS800SG.
The deals are with NewspaperDirect and LibreDigital to make more e-content available to download and read on the device which goes on sale in the US Best Buy chain soon.
iRex has already signed a deal to make Barnes & Noble's ebookstore and its content available to the DS800SG.
The e-reader will cost around $399 to buy (EUR267).
iRex is not the only company trying to unstable Amazon, which dominates the US e-reader market with its Kindle. Recently Sony said it would sell its 5-inch diagonal pocket e-reader for $199 through stores such as Best Buy and Wal-Mart.
