Outdoor wear company Oxbow has integrated a Bluetooth music control panel into one of its latest jackets, reports wearable electronics website talk2myshirt.
The integrated electronic element is provided by Fibretronic, which provides the Bluetooth functionality as part of its Connectedwear range of smart textile modules.
The new jacket uses a five function keypad, located on the sleeve, to control functions for a music phone, such as controlling play and volume, as well as making and receiving calls.
Connectedwear allows users to control items such as MP3 players and mobile phones via keypads and joysticks integrated into clothing.
