eIQ Energy has partnered with Abound Solar and architectural firm Focus Materials, to supply solar glass curtain walls to the building industry.
The announcement signifies an understanding of the building integrated photovoltaics market by the three parties. The system offered uses eIQ Energy's DC-DC converter product and Abounds semi-transparent solar panels to create a custom PV curtain, states a report by Greentech Solar.
The deal means the technology will be designed into new buildings created by Focus Materials. The presence of the architectural firm shows how important it is to integrate the technology at the design stage of building.
