Solar film developer Heliatek has announced that its transparent films could be used between glass sheets in tinted, double glazed windows.
The windows would be tinted without any distracting patterns when the film is used, and the films offer an efficiency of 7% at 23.5% light emission. The company is working with a number of glass and building materials suppliers, to allow its film to be used in building integration, reports the Azo Sensors website.
Heliatek has already announced a joint venture with elastic mould supplier Reckli, which will see its film used in concrete façades.
