A nanotechnology cluster in Austria has received funding for a three-year initiative that includes scope for the printing of nanoelectronics.
The Nanoimprint lithography Austria (NILaustria) project aims to establish the country as a technology base for NIL. Efforts are spread across eight research projects, including one to establish a process transfer for high-speed thin film electronics on industrial fabrication tools, according to a Nanowerk report.
The latest funding for represents an extension for the initiatve, which began in 2008. The cluster is coordinated by applied production research firm Profactor and involves printed electronics partners such as prelonic.
