Technology company AUO is to showcase several OLED prototypes at the upcoming FPD International 2011 exhibition.
The first product is a new 32-inch OLED television, offering a full HD display. The unit is just 3mm thick, and uses a metal oxide TFT as a backplane. Also on offer is a 4-inch flexible OLED panel, which is just 0.3mm thick, and could lead the way for flexible displays in commercial products, reports OLED-Info.
Another prototype is a 6-inch rollable organic TFT e-paper.
The new models appear after another range of prototypes launched by AUO earlier in 2001, including a 6-inch transparent OLED display.
