US start-up company C3nano has announced investment of $6.7 million (€5.1 million) from its latest financing round, led by Phoenix Venture Partners.
The company's carbon hybrid-based ink and film is a viable option for transparent conductors, and is an option for flexible and stretchable electronics. Instead of using carbon nanotubes, it uses a hybrid approach, which allows for better conductivity. The investment will allow C3nano to expand its engineering capability, complete development of its ink, and scale to production, reports a company press release.
In addition to the funding, Phoenix will also have a member on the company's board of directors. To date, C3nano has raised over $10 million in funding.
