Electronics firm Shanghai Tianma will build a Gen 4.5 plant for active-matrix OLED production, says OLED-Info.
The pilot plant will produce 1,000 glass substrates a month, according to the report.
The company, which will apply for $40 million (€31.4 million) government funding as part of the $72 million project, will install the OLED line at its existing LCD production plant.
US OLED tool provider TCZ told +Plastic Electronics in June that China was emerging as an important market for OLEDs.
