The FlexUPD is a new six-inch colour screen which uses an AMOLED display, and has a great resistance to water vapour, and could allow for advances in flexible e-readers and smartphones, reports Focus Taiwan. The one millimetre screen was displayed alongside a new interactive flexible touch panel, which could also be used in mobile devices, according to the company.
The ITRI is now working on the commercialisation of the displays, although no details of availability or production have been released.
