Electronics manufacturer Sony is looking to partner with fellow developer Panasonic, to mass produce OLED televisions.
According to news agency Reuters, the two companies are looking to bring their resources in the technology together, to produce large screen televisions which can rival those being launched by LG and Samsung in 2012. Both companies are falling behind in the market, while Sony, pioneers of OLED televisions with its expensive XEL-1 product, had suspended its consumer OLED development earlier this year.
Sony had been believed to be in discussion with AUO, with a manufacturing facility based at the Taiwanese company's headquarters.
