UDC and LG extend licence agreement

Universal Display Corporation and LG Electronics have renewed their PHOLED material supply agreement.

The agreement allows LG to use UDC materials in their OLED displaysThe new deal will run until the end of 2011, and will see LG pay the American firm licence fees. The news comes on the back of reports that Samsung have also extended their agreement with UDC until September 2011, reports OLED Info. The original agreement between the two companies was signed in May 2007.

Although the extension is short, UDC and LG are still negotiating terms on a long term contract.
