The agreement, reported on the Printed Electronics World website, will hasten the development of higher performance and more efficient P-OLED devices, displays and lighting. The terms of the deal will allow CDT to take licences in existing and new developments in lighting, solar cells and thin film transistor circuits, as well as OLED research.
The commercialisation of these activities will also bring a royalty stream back to the University of Singapore, which will then be able to improve research further into the technology.
