An EU funded project has reached a milestone in its efforts to develop ITO-free organic photovolatics (OPVs).
The HIFLEX project has seen a SolarInspect RollToRoll Metrology System installed in an inline printing and coating system for OPV manufacture at the Technical University of Denmark. This allows the project partners to test complete solar cells and identify defects, reports PV Magazine.
The installation helps in the development of ITO free flexible solar cells for use in a range of different applications, including mobile phones, e-labels and smart clothing.
