German OLED lighting producer Osram has announced the construction of a pilot production line.
The company is spending €50 million on the facility, which will is scheduled to start in mid-2011, according to a company press release.
Osram launched its first commercially available panel design, the Orbeos, in Q4 2009.
The move to pilot production is an early move for a European organisation in the global race to ramp up OLED lighting manufacturing.
