A new project between the EU and Russia is aiming to develop software tools for OLED lighting modelling.
The IM3OLED software will enable a more systematic R&D process, which is expected to accelerate efficient OLED lighting design and developments. The software will predictively model OLEDs in 3D, and in all length scales, including molecular calculations and electrical simulation, according to a report by OLED-Info.
The software will also incorporate a dynamic feedback loop to allow developers to predict how changes in one development area will affect others.
The project is being coordinated by the Holst Centre and the National Research Nuclear University in Russia.
