Novaled has developed a new white OLED lighting structure that develops high brightness levels with a long lifespan.
The new structure uses a material that emits a fluorescent blue colour, attaining a brightness of 60 lumens per watt, with a lifetime of 100,000 hours. Novaled used a commercially available fluorescent blue emitting material for the development, which combined with the lighting, and the company's PIN OLED technology, allows it to achieve very high values, states a report by AZO Optics.
The blue material used gives the structure a longer lifespan, and covers the total visible colour range.
