Adhesives and surface treatments specialist Henkel has announced a partnership with R&D organisation the Holst Centre.
According to the Holst Centre website, the partnership allows the two companies to work together in the field of flexible electronics, and research into large-area flexible organic photovoltaics, OLED lighting and signage. Henkel's expertise could lead to better adhesives with electrical conductivity, which would help market growth.
Henkel is currently developing optically clear and electrically conductive moisture barrier technologies on actual devices, allowing it to make more efficient diagnoses of market readiness.
