Printed lighting and displays company Plextronics has signed an OLED lighting distribution agreement with Sanyo Chemical Industries.
The agreement will see Sanyo distribute select inks, specially developed by Plexronics for use in OLED lighting applications, into the Japanese market. The company hopes the tie-in will allow it to work closely with other major manufacturers of OLED lighting ,to drive the adoption and commercialisation of the technology in a global market, according to a company press release.
The Plexcore OC ink to be distributed is designed to deliver stable, low operating voltage, and extended lifetime in polymer-based OLED displays and lighting panels.
