Panasonic Electric Works and Idemitsu Kosan have announced a joint venture to develop OLED lighting panels, and expand the market.
A report by Printed Electronics World says the two companies will combine resources, with Panasonic offering design and manufacturing technology, and Idemitsu supplying organic electroluminescent materials.
The aim of the venture is to pursue development of the OLED lighting as part of the future solid-state lighting market.
