Germany-based OLED lighting developer Novaled, is working with designer Marcus Tremonto on a new OLED suspension light.
The ultra slim light, called the PAD, is on display at the 2012 Frankfurt Light+Building trade show. OLED panels are used to create three types of illumination, offering direct lighting when switched on, and ambient lighting through the transparent OLED panels when turned off.
Tremonto believes OLED panels are at the forefront of future lighting design, due to their thinness and large area of light source, reports Marketwatch.
