Panasonic Idemitsu OLED Lighting (PIOL) has signed a licence agreement with Global OLED Technology (GOT) for use of its patents.
GOT aquired Kodak's OLED business in 2009, and is 32% owned by Idemitsu Kosan. The deal allows the company, established by Panasonic and Idemitsu to develop and launch products into the emerging OLED lighting market, access to all patents developed. PIOL will pay a running royalty fee, reports OLED Info.
The agreement comes on the back of another patent deal with Universal Display, for use of the US company's phosphorous OLED materials.
