OLED technology company Universal Display (UDC) has signed a licence agreement with Pioneer, allowing for the production of lighting products.
The two companies have worked together on Pioneer's OLED display business, and the new agreement allows the manufacturer to access UDC's portfolio of materials and technology in OLED lighting products. Under the terms, Pioneer will pay running royalties on sales of licensed products. The agreement will run until a specified number of these products are sold, reports Marketwatch.
UDC have recently signed an agreement with Panasonic and Idemitsu Kosan's joint venture for OLED lighting, and with Samsung for OLED displays.
