A number of e-reader companies are likely to adopt the full-colour displays from US firm Mirasol, says Pocket-lint.
The company is providing its low-power, colour screens, which can host video content, to e-book readers in late 2010 and in 2011, says the technology news website.
As +Plastic Electronics has previously reported, colour screens and greater functionality are key to allowing e-readers to compete with tablet computers like the iPad.
