News Corp, the media firm behind newspapers such as The Times and The Wall Street Journal, is considering launching an e-reader content business, says media website New Media Age.
The company could launch a business providing paid-for content for e-readers, the article reports. This follows the implementation of a pay wall for some online content for UK newspaper The Times in June.
The company acquired its own e-reader business in June, buying the Hearst-financed venture Skiff - a platform for providing news content to e-readers, smartphones and tablet computers.
