Electronics firm Sharp intends to enter the e-reader market, according to a Reuters report.
The Japanese company plans to launch an e-reading device later in 2010 that will also be able to host video and audio content.
The announcement is another change for the e-reader market, which has experienced upheaval in 2010, following the launch of the competitive iPad. Amazon responded by lowering the price of its Kindle e-reader, and has since experienced significant growth in sales, says news website FierceMobileContent.
