Inside Secure, a semiconductor developer in France, has announced its products can be used to interact with Kovio's RFID wireless tags.
The two companies have been working together to ensure their technologies can communicate with each other, making it possible for brands, retailers and advertisers to provide instantaneous updates to those who interact with everyday goods.
Inside Secure's MicroRead and SecuRead NFC hardware and Open NFC protocol stack will now work with Kovio RF barcode tags to privide information to mobile devices. The companies will now work with retailers to deploy the technology, which helps provide information through point-of-sale materials, reports Enhanced Online News.
Kovio's RF barcode tags can be printed onto flexible substrates, making them easy to integrate into a retail environment.
