Smart textile developers from the Swedish Integrity project have unveiled the clothing and accessories designed to survive extreme conditions.
Anna Madella, master student designer for Integrity, spoke exclusively to +Plastic Electronics in advance of the official launch of the project demonstrators, which took place earlier in June at Borås Textile Museum, Sweden.
And +Plastic Electronics can now reveal images of the demonstrators of technology developed by Integrity, including smart textile clothing that senses body temperature and provides appropriate heat. Other accessories include tents with integrated solar power, and clothing that transforms into a safety shelter.
The products were created for the Creature element of the project, which focused on using clothing and textiles to help survive extremely cold conditions.
