Creative coloured conductive ink set launched in US

A new set of three conductive inks in the primary colours – red, yellow and blue – are being made available for sale in the US.

Massachusetts-based developer Creative Materials says it has taken the move in response to demand for coloured conductive solutions from manufacturers of touchscreens, wearable devices, medical equipment, and electromagnetic shielding products.

The inks designated 126-29R/B/Y can be applied by screen printing, dipping or via a syringe. They demonstrate good adhesion to substrates including, Kapton, Mylar and glass. In contrast to some other conductive formulations they are simultaneously ‘very resistant to abrasion, scratching, flexing and creasing.’

The red, blue and yellow inks each demonstrate a surface resistivity of 5 Ω/sq/mm. This compares to a 100 Ω/sq/mm resistivity achieved with Creative Materials’s 112/48N black ink for the same applications.
